European parts, American prices

Several parts on this site are made for European machines. On Amazon.com the same reference is missing, listed with no price, or sold by an importer at a markup.

Three things a US buyer sees

Several parts on this site are made for European machines, and the same reference meets an American buyer in one of three ways:

Missing. The reference returns no page on Amazon.com. The VIOKS splash guard for Bosch MUM4 mixers, the WMF Kult X blade and the Tefal raclette pans are all sold on the European Amazon stores and not here; the button on their pages runs a search instead.

Listed, with no price. The Steba raclette pans are on Amazon.com under their German title, “Raclette-Pfännchen 4er Set”, and no US price was read when the page was revised. The WMF glass kitchen scale is listed in white, with no price read either.

Listed at a markup. When a European part does carry a US price, it is often an importer’s offer, and it can run to several times the European cost for the identical reference. That is a seller’s price, not a market price — and it is the reason to read the seller’s name before the number.

How far US prices move

The price next to the button is read from Amazon.com and moves. Revising the parts pages on a single evening, we found:

A move of that size can change which product is cheapest, or reverse a comparison written a month earlier. It is why every page here states the day its price was read.

What to do

Read the live price next to the button, not the price in any review — including ours. Then compare it against the other models in the same family on Amazon.com, which may rank differently from how they rank in Europe.

The one thing worth verifying

That the reference is the same, and that the part is for your machine. A part that is missing from Amazon.com is usually missing because the appliance it fits was never sold here — and a compatibility list is the way to find out before ordering.

Prices quoted in this text were read on 2026-10-17. The live price is at the top of the page.

What readers want to know

Is it the same product?

Usually, when the reference matches. Most parts here carry an identical reference across the European Amazon stores, and some carry the same one on Amazon.com. Check the reference, not the photograph — and check that the listing on Amazon.com is the same version: the same ASIN can open a different color or pack size in a different country.

Why is a part sold in Europe missing from Amazon.com?

Because the machine it fits was never sold here. A splash guard for a Bosch MUM4 mixer, a blade for a WMF Kult X blender or raclette pans for a Tefal Ovation grill are spares for European 230-volt appliances, so the maker has no reason to list them in the United States. If you own one of those machines, the part number is what to search for. If you do not, the part is not for you, whatever the photograph suggests.

Should I order from a European Amazon store?

That depends on the seller, the shipping and the return terms, which are matters between you and the retailer. Two cautions apply on this site: a European appliance runs on 230 volts and needs a transformer, not just a plug adapter; and a spare part is only worth importing if your machine is on its compatibility list.
