The only raclette grill on this site that publishes both its plate dimensions — 41.5 × 22.5 cm (16.3 × 8.9 in) of ribbed die-cast aluminum — and its cable length, at two meters. A chromed Swiss-design housing, Xylan Plus two-layer non-stick, stepless temperature, a parking deck for hot pans, and eight pans with heat-insulated handles plus eight turners.
The net of it The one that thought about the table rather than the box. Two figures give it away: a 2 m (7 ft) cable, because this appliance sits in the middle of a table and not beside a socket — and a published plate size, because eight people need a measurable amount of surface. The parking deck for hot pans is the third: somewhere to put a pan that is not the tablecloth. Die-cast aluminum with a two-layer coating is the most durable plate in the family after stone.
Two meters of cable
The specification nobody else in this family publishes, and the one that
decides the evening. A raclette grill sits in the middle of a table;
most kitchen appliance cables are about a meter long. Rommelsbacher
publishes 2 m (7 ft).
A plate you can measure
41.5 × 22.5 cm of ribbed die-cast aluminum, removable, with a
two-layer Xylan Plus coating. Again, the only published plate size in
this family — the others say “large” and leave it there.
Die-cast aluminum with a two-layer coating is the second most durable
surface here, after the Princess’s natural stone, and it is considerably
easier to clean than either.
The parking deck
A raised area for hot and unused pans. Anyone who has hosted raclette
knows the moment: a pan just off the element, and nowhere to put it that
is not a tablecloth. Rommelsbacher also states the pans slide in from
all sides, not only from the front — which matters when eight people are
sitting around it.
Stepless heat
A continuous dial with an indicator light, and 1,500 W behind it.
Heat-insulated handles on the appliance, and on all eight pans.
In the box
Eight pans with insulated handles and eight turners — one each,
which the HengBO in this family does not manage.
The plus side, and the minus
Strengths
Publishes the plate dimensions — 41.5 × 22.5 cm (16.3 × 8.9 in) — which nothing else here does
A 2 m (7 ft) cable, on an appliance that lives in the middle of a table
Removable die-cast aluminum plate with a two-layer Xylan Plus coating
A parking deck for hot pans, and pans that slide in from every side
Compromises
The most expensive raclette grill here on most markets
Eight seats, against twelve on the Klarstein
The British price is nearly double the German one at the time of writing
Because a raclette grill is used in the middle of a table, and most kitchen appliance cables are around a meter. Rommelsbacher publishes 2 m (7 ft); nothing else in this family publishes a cable length at all. It is the specification that decides whether the appliance reaches the table or the table moves to the wall.
What is the parking deck?
A raised area on the appliance for hot or unused pans, so a pan straight off the element has somewhere to go that is not the tablecloth. Rommelsbacher also states the pans slide in from every side rather than only the front.

The buyer this one serves, among kitchen appliances
A table of eight, and a host who has previously run out of cable.
Specifications: the manufacturer sheet for kitchen appliances and the matching Amazon product page. Prices and availability: Keepa. Every figure on this page names its source.
Eight non-stick pans and four wooden spatulas, 1,300 W, with a side dial giving stepless temperature over the plate and the pans together. The non-stick grill plate lifts off and HengBO states it fits in the sink; the maker also states low smoke and odor for indoor use.
Best for: Eight people around a table, in a flat where smoke matters.
Fonduelette XL: raclette, grill and fondue in one, for up to twelve people, at 1,650 W across three separate stainless heating elements. Three interchangeable tops — metal, natural stone and a crêpe plate — twelve raclette pans, and a lid that holds the fondue forks upright.
Best for: A long table at Christmas, where raclette, grilling and fondue all happen at once.
A compact raclette and grill for two to six people, built around a round natural stone plate of 30 cm (11.8 in). Princess publishes something rare in this family: a cleaning routine per component, a stated preheat of about ten minutes, an instruction not to use metal utensils, and color-coded pans so people keep their own.
Best for: Two to six at a small table, and a plate that will not lose its coating because it has none.
