The Airfryer 2000 Series, and the model Philips publishes a usable-load figure for rather than only a liter count: 500 g (17.6 oz) of chips, six drumsticks or 500 g (17.6 oz) of vegetables in a 4.2-liter basket. Touchscreen with nine presets, RapidAir with the StarPlate, non-stick surfaces declared dishwasher-safe.
The net of it The one that answers the question the others dodge. Every air fryer states its liters; Philips states what goes in — 500 g of chips, six drumsticks — and that is the figure a buyer can act on. The trade is that Philips publishes no wattage and no temperature range for the 2000 Series, so two of the three numbers the Midea gives you are simply absent here. Which of those omissions matters more depends on whether you cook by setting or by result.
Almost every air fryer is sold on liters. Philips publishes what the 4.2-liter basket actually holds: 500 g (17.6 oz) of chips, six drumsticks, or 500 g (17.6 oz) of vegetables. That is a different kind of claim, and it is the one that settles whether a machine suits a household of two or of four.
A touchscreen with nine presets — frozen chips, fresh chips, chicken, meat, fish, breakfast, vegetables, cake, keep warm — and manual time and temperature underneath them. The presets are the reason a screen beats dials here: a setting that worked can be chosen again identically rather than found again by eye.
Philips describes the cooking as 13-in-1: frying, baking, grilling, roasting and more, with presets for reheating, defrosting and keeping warm.
Philips names its airflow system RapidAir and states that a StarPlate in the base shapes it. What the plate changes in practice is not published as a measurement, and we report the claim rather than the effect.
The wattage and the temperature range. Both are published by Russell Hobbs (1,800 W, 40–200 °C (104 to 392 °F)) and by Midea (1,150 W, 80–200 °C (176 to 392 °F)) on this site, and their absence here is worth knowing before comparing on paper. The external dimensions are not published either.
Philips declares the non-stick surfaces dishwasher-safe, and describes them as needing no scrubbing or soaking. As always, the manual shipped with your unit is the authority for your model.
The Amazon.com listing gives the voltage as 220 V and shows the NA229 as currently unavailable; no US price was read when this page was revised. On a 120-volt outlet a 220-volt air fryer will not reach temperature, and a plug adapter does not change that. For a US kitchen, the air-fry toaster ovens on this site sold for 120 V — the BLACK+DECKER 5-in-1 and the Hamilton Beach — do the same job on a flat tray.

Philips lists them: frozen chips, fresh chips, chicken, meat, fish, breakfast, vegetables, cake and keep warm. Time and temperature can also be set manually, which is what makes a result repeatable.

Best for: One person, a small countertop, and a cook who would rather turn a dial than read a screen.

The FlexDrawer, and the only air fryer here that can cook two things two ways at once.
