Fonduelette XL: raclette, grill and fondue in one, for up to twelve people, at 1,650 W across three separate stainless heating elements. Three interchangeable tops — metal, natural stone and a crêpe plate — twelve raclette pans, and a lid that holds the fondue forks upright.
The net of it The one built for a crowd. Twelve pans, three separate heating elements and a fondue in the same appliance is a different proposition from a raclette grill with a fondue pot balanced on it — separate elements mean cheese, meat and crêpes each get their own heat. The lid that holds the forks upright is the detail that gives it away as designed by someone who has hosted a fondue. What is missing is any temperature figure at all.
Twelve seats
Half again the largest of the other three here, and the reason to choose
this model: twelve pans and 1,650 W.
Three elements, not one
The specification that separates this from a raclette grill with a fondue
accessory: three separate stainless heating elements. Cheese under the
grill, meat on the stone and crêpes on their own plate each get their own
heat rather than sharing one.
Three tops
A metal plate, a natural stone, and a crêpe plate. Stone is
the durable one — no coating to lose — and the crêpe plate is what makes
this appliance work at breakfast as well as at dinner.
Three tops also means three things to find cupboard space for.
Two details that give it away
A lid that holds the fondue forks upright so they do not sink, and
color-marked skewers so people can find their own. Neither appears on
a specification comparison, and both come from having hosted a fondue.
What is not published
No temperature range, no control type, and no dimensions. On a twelve-seat
appliance, the footprint is the figure a host most needs — a table that
seats twelve still has to hold this in the middle of it.
The plus side, and the minus

Compromises

What readers want to know
Do the three plates run at once?
Klarstein publishes three separate stainless heating elements and describes cheese, vegetables, meat and fish cooking on the three grill surfaces at the same time. Separate elements are what make that possible rather than a single element shared between tops.
What is the lid for?
Klarstein states it holds the fondue forks in position and stops them sinking into the pot. It is the sort of detail that only appears on an appliance designed by someone who has had to fish a fork out of hot cheese.

Eight non-stick pans and four wooden spatulas, 1,300 W, with a side dial giving stepless temperature over the plate and the pans together. The non-stick grill plate lifts off and HengBO states it fits in the sink; the maker also states low smoke and odor for indoor use.
Best for: Eight people around a table, in a flat where smoke matters.
A compact raclette and grill for two to six people, built around a round natural stone plate of 30 cm (11.8 in). Princess publishes something rare in this family: a cleaning routine per component, a stated preheat of about ten minutes, an instruction not to use metal utensils, and color-coded pans so people keep their own.
Best for: Two to six at a small table, and a plate that will not lose its coating because it has none.
