WMF Kult X Immersion Blender Set review
Kult X, a five-piece set built around a 600 W motor and a detachable Cromargan stainless shaft. WMF publishes the dimensions — 3.1 × 2.4 × 15.4 in (8 × 6 × 39 cm) — and a 3 ft (1 m) cable, uses a 2+2 blade design with a removable blade unit, and supplies a whisk, a masher, a chopper and a 24 oz (700 ml) beaker, all dishwasher-safe.
The net of it The one where the money goes into materials. 600 W is the lowest published power here and this is the most expensive stick blender on the site — which is worth stating rather than hiding, because it is the whole argument. What you buy instead of watts is Cromargan rather than plain stainless, a blade unit that comes out, a masher most sets omit, and dimensions published so you can check the shaft against your own pot. Whether that trade is right depends entirely on what you blend.
Power does not track price here
It is worth saying at the top. This is the most expensive stick blender on
the site and the least powerful: 600 W, against 1,200 W on the Philips
and 1,500 W on the LEBENLANG. Any page that ranked this family by watts
would put it last.
What the money buys instead
Cromargan stainless on a detachable shaft, a removable blade
unit, and a five-piece set that includes a masher — the one
attachment none of the other three supply, and the one that does a job a
blade cannot. Everything is stated dishwasher-safe.
The dimensions
8 × 6 × 39 cm, and a 1 m cable. WMF and LEBENLANG are the only
makers here to publish physical figures, and 15.4 in (39 cm) of overall length is
the number to hold against your own stockpot: it is what decides whether
the motor stays clear of the soup.
The blades
WMF calls the arrangement 2+2 and describes a two-wing stainless blade
for fine results. The blade unit comes out, which is what makes a dull
blade or a tired seal a part rather than an appliance. No diameter is
published.
Buying it in the United States
The Amazon.com listing gives the voltage as 220 V. WMF is a German
maker and the Kult X is a European model; on a 120-volt outlet a 220-volt
motor runs at well under half its speed and power, and a plug adapter
does not change that. No US price was read when this page was revised.
What this page is still useful for is the checklist: a hand blender
that publishes its dimensions, its cord length and a detachable stainless
shaft with a removable blade unit is one you can size, clean and repair.
Look for those figures on a model sold for 120 V.
The plus side, and the minus

What readers want to know
Why pay more for less power?
WMF publishes 600 W against 1,500 W on the LEBENLANG at half the price. What the money buys here is Cromargan stainless, a removable blade unit, a five-piece set including a masher, and published dimensions. Whether that is the right trade depends on whether your limit is the motor or the tool.
What is the masher for?
It is the attachment the other three sets on this site do not include: a masher head for potatoes and similar, where a blade would turn them to paste. It is the reason this set covers a job the others do not.

The buyer this one serves, among kitchen appliances
A set that will still be in the drawer in ten years, in a kitchen that does not need 1,500 W.

The most powerful stick blender here at 1,500 W, with Two-Blade Technology, a stepless speed spread over fifteen modes and a two-button layout. LEBENLANG publishes what almost nobody in this family does: the weight (0.9 kg (2 lb)) and the cable length (1 m (3 ft)). An 800 ml beaker and an anti-splash cone are supplied.
Best for: Someone who holds the blender for a while and wants to know what they are holding.
A six-piece stick blender set: blending shaft, chopper, mixing bowl and whisk in 304 stainless, 1,200 W, an ergonomic non-slip grip, a watch-shaped stainless bell the maker states reduces splashing, and a stand that holds the accessories.
Best for: A first stick blender with everything in the box, on a budget.
The 5000 Series Essential Set: 1,200 W with ProMix — a shaped blade unit and a blade splash guard matched to the motor — plus an LED speed display and SpeedTouch control. A one-touch button swaps attachments without setting the blender down, and the shaft detaches to be rinsed under the tap.
Best for: Everyday work where changing attachments mid-recipe is the annoyance to remove.
